In my time as the Member of Parliament for South Suffolk, I have met so many local people who do fantastic things for our local community.
This was particularly true during the Covid pandemic, when thousands of volunteers came together to support our communities through difficult times. From helping out in the vaccination centres, to sorting piles of donations to be sent to Ukraine - the cumulative effort has been enormous. And it's for this exact reason that I’m announcing my 'Community Champion’ nominations.
From school governors to litter pickers, from parish councillors to community speed watch, our society depends on volunteers who often go unappreciated.
