I will be voting to trigger Article 50

Earlier this week the Government lost its appeal to the Supreme Court regarding the way in which the UK departs from the EU. Instead of leaving without a Parliamentary vote, we will now have to issue what is known as ‘Article 50’ following a vote in both the Commons and the Lords. 

 

Supreme Court Brexit appeal questioned by South Suffolk MP

South Suffolk MP James Cartlidge yesterday asked the Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union, David Davis MP, to withdraw the Government’s appeal to the Supreme Court, after it was decided Article 50 would have to go through Parliament.
